Celebrate Día de los Muertos at The Mexican Museum’s Family Sunday. Ensambles Ballet Folklórico de San Francisco will be performing and there will be a hands-on art project led by a local artist to commemorate this important holiday. Attendees will learn about the rich cultural traditions of this holiday which is celebrated throughout Mexico, Central and South America.
Join The Mexican Museum - in collaboration with the U.S. Forest Service and the UC Davis Department of Agriculture and Natural Resources - for a special afternoon of arts & crafts in celebration of Arte.Sciencia.Naturaleza (Art, Science and Nature). We will explore the history of one of America’s favorite and most versatile foods - corn - and its vital role in both pre-Columbian history and in today’s Mexican culture and cuisine.
