The Mexican Museum continues its presentation of African By Legacy, Mexican By Birth, a traveling exhibition that documents the African presence in Mexico. The free exhibition is displayed at the Galería de la Raza and is on view Wednesday - Saturday, 12-6pm.

Chicano Film and Music Series at the de Young Museum

In collaboration with the de Young Museum’s presentation of the Chicano Visions exhibit, The Mexican Museum continues its film and music series exploring the different facets of Chicano art and culture. The final screening focuses on the use of humor as a form of cultural resistance and personal affirmation.

To showcase the best in arts inspired by Mexico, The Mexican Museum along with Tequila Don Julio presents Nuevo Arte: Colección Tequila Don Julio, a national traveling exhibition of contemporary works. Tere Romo, curator of exhibitions at The Mexican Museum, selected some of today’s most innovative Mexican and Mexican-American artists for the showcase. Chicago is the third of four stops.
